I knew the hour had struck

Breathing and sweating profusely,

she looked around herself wearily,

And spotting me in a quiet corner,

she called me in a whisper

My brother, bring to me my bible” she said;

That’s lying on my bed”.

Live a good live”, she warned,

And spoke of the devil in scorn

Then clutching my hand in her hand, she said;

My brother be a great man”

And indeed I watched her eyes cover,

Cried I, to see her die and wither,

Because I knew I’ll see no one better

Than my fallen hero, ADIEU sis
